Sarah Brogdon, JD, LCSW

Sarah Brogdon, JD, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Attorney. Ms. Brogdon has practiced in the Atlanta area since 1972. For the last 16 years she has combined her mental health and legal expertise in the practice of forensic mental health. Her areas of specialty include divorce consultation, relationship counseling, child evaluation, custody evaluation, co-parenting counseling, individual psychotherapy, and parent coordination. 

In the collaborative divorce realm, Ms. Brogdon works as part of an interdisciplinary team to assist people who have made the decision to divorce to do so in a productive and respectful manner. As a coach, she helps people identify and present effectively their needs and preferences, as well as make decisions during an emotional time. As a child specialist, she encourages parents to understand their children’s age-appropriate needs and communicate as parents in a child-focused way.

Ms. Brogdon received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Emory University in 1968. She received her Masters in Social Work at Atlanta University, and her Juris Doctor Degree at Emory University in 1982. Her professional affiliations include: National Association of Social Workers, Academy of Clinical Social Workers, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Association of Conflict Resolution, State Bar of Georgia, and the Atlanta Bar Association.
