Amy Waggoner is an AV-rated® collaborative family law attorney. She is founding partner in the law firm of Waggoner Family Law, LLC. Her focus is working with clients in transition to find creative solutions that promote the best interests of the family and the children. In addition to the collaborative practice of family law, Amy has taught “Collaborative Divorce” at Georgia State University College of Law. Amy is a registered mediator and arbitrator, serves as a Guardian ad Litem to protect the interests of children who are involved in contested custody matters, and regularly volunteers her time in helping children and families through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Amy was named one of the 50 Best Female Lawyers in Georgia in 2010, 2011, and 2012 and was elected a Superlawyer in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. She regularly writes and lectures on collaborative and family law issues, particularly those involving implementing creative, non-adversarial solutions to legal issues.
Amy received her Juris Doctor Degree from Georgia State University. Her professional affiliations include: Stonewall Bar Association, ACLU of Georgia, Founding Member of the Atlanta Collaborative Divorce Alliance, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, and the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia.
